White House invites Lithuanians to historic event
March 29, at 3:30 pm, the White House will celebrate the admission of
Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia as
members of NATO. President George Bush will address the guests. The
Secretary General of NATO, J. de Hoop Scheffer, will attend the event as
will the prime ministers of all the new NATO members, including Lithuania's
Algirdas Brazauskas, members of Congress and of the Bush Administration, and
the press. The event will take place on the South Lawn of the White House
and we're invited! In order to attend the event you must reserve a ticket
by noon (EST) Sunday, March 28, with the Lithuanian-American Community,
Inc., or with the Lithuanian Embassy. Lithuanian American Community

You may pick up your ticket Sunday, March 28, after the 2:00 pm Lithuanian
Mass (Epiphany parish in Georgetown) or on the day of the event, starting at
1:00 pm, at the White House gate at 17th and Pennsylvania Avenue, NW.

March 26 until 8:00 p.m. and Monday, March 29 from 9:00 a.m. until noon.
Important
To reserve a ticket you must provide your first and last name as they appear
on your driver's license or on your passport. You must be at the gate to
the South Lawn before 3:00 pm. No one will be admitted after that time.
You will be asked to show your driver's license or your passport (the name
must be the same as the one you gave to reserve the ticket).
